Hyundai is working on a brand-new version of its hydrogen-powered Nexo SUV, and it’s going to be much different from the current model.
New Look and Design
The new Nexo will have a tougher, more SUV-like design. It combines the bold look of the Hyundai Santa Fe with a sleek roofline. This design makes the car not only look cool but also feel safer and more solid.
More Power and Longer Range
The new Nexo will have a stronger engine. It will be able to go more than 650 km (about 404 miles) on a full tank, which is a big improvement over the current model’s range of 414 miles. This means you’ll be able to drive further without having to refuel. The fuel cell stack and battery will be improved to make this possible.
More Space Inside
The inside of the car will be more spacious. The seats will be more comfortable, especially in the back where they can recline. The doors will open wider too, making it easier to get in and out.
Cool Features
The new Nexo will also have some great tech features:
- V2L (Vehicle-to-Load): This lets you use the car to power things like a laptop or small appliances.
- Route Planner: A special tool that helps you find hydrogen stations while driving.
- Safety: The car will have nine airbags to keep everyone safe.
Hyundai’s Future Plan
Hyundai is also trying to make hydrogen production greener by using waste materials like plastic and biomass to create hydrogen. This will help make the fuel cell cars even more eco-friendly.
